CD Almuñecar City suffered their first loss of the pre-season campaign at the hands of Tercera División side CF Motril.

The team started positively, a strong run from Boubacar Diallo in the fourth minute resulted in a powerful shot at goal from 25 yards which fell straight down the throat of the keeper.
Jay Clarke came close to opening the scoring soon after, a tempting ball from Nestor Jimenez Diaz coming just inches away from the striker's forehead.

CD Almuñecar City started to find their way into the game during the last twenty minutes of the first half, creating some good opportunities from some positive attacks.
